Powered by STIHL’s professional ALLPRO/AP battery platform, the HSA 100 uses a high-efficiency brushless EC motor that delivers consistent cutting performance as the battery discharges. Its electronic power management maintains a constant stroke rate under load, helping the blades continue cutting effectively when working through dense hedge growth and thicker shoots.

The trimmer features a 24-inch double-sided cutting blade with approximately 34 mm tooth spacing. Its hardened, laser-cut, diamond-ground cutting edges are designed for lasting sharpness, precise trimming, and efficient pruning. The wider tooth spacing and pruning-style blade geometry allow the HSA 100 to handle both routine hedge shaping and more demanding cutting work.

A rotatable multifunction rear handle can be positioned 90 degrees to the left or right, providing three working positions across a 180-degree range. This allows the operator to maintain a more natural wrist position while trimming hedge tops, vertical sides, corners, and long horizontal sections. The control layout is suitable for right- and left-handed users.

STIHL’s anti-vibration system uses buffer and spring elements to reduce vibration transmitted to the handles. Combined with the balanced construction and loop-style front handle, this helps improve comfort during extended professional trimming sessions.
