Power is supplied by a 22 HP Briggs & Stratton EXi V-Twin engine with 724cc displacement. The air-cooled gasoline engine provides dependable power for handling routine residential mowing, thick seasonal grass, and the mower’s wide three-blade cutting system.

Toro pairs the engine with dual Hydro-Gear EZT-2200 hydrostatic transmissions. Each transmission controls one rear drive wheel, allowing the mower to turn within its own footprint and navigate efficiently around trees, flower beds, pathways, fences, and other landscape features.

The mower’s 50-inch IronForged cutting deck is fabricated from heavy-duty 10-gauge steel. It incorporates a reinforced leading edge, large cast-aluminum spindle housings, maintenance-free spindle bearings, and material-reinforced belts for dependable residential performance.

A four-point deck-hanging system helps keep the deck stable when the operator steps onto or off the machine. The three-blade system produces even cutting coverage across the full 50-inch width, while three standard anti-scalp wheels help protect the lawn on uneven sections.

Cutting height can be adjusted between approximately 1 and 5 inches using Toro’s professional-style drop-pin system and foot-operated deck-lift control. This allows fast height changes when adapting to different turf types, seasonal growth, and preferred lawn appearance.
